Shiseido Perfect Refining Foundation, Review and Demo

This Foundation is AMAZING!!!!  Ladies this is my holy grail of foundations, I swear. As you may already know I bought this foundation thanks to Hélène and like Hélène I have good skin however what I need from a foundation is coverage it must even out my skin without feeling too heavy. This foundation does just that and even more. It erases any redness I have with only one light layer...it also acts like a primer as it makes any discoloration or uneveness disappear and anither important thing is that it lasts all day(Your face stays neat looking) I took as many pictures as I could so that you could see it for yourself. The result is a semi matte finish that leaves your skin looking like skin with a healthy polished finish. I apply this foundation with the mother of all brushes...yes the Shiseido foundation brush....This too is amazing and facilitates your job by applying the foundation as it were airbrushed. I apply the foundation directly on the brush and do swiping motions to blend in the foundation and then for the final step I do little stippling motions!
The above picture is the pouch I got as a gift with purchase... it included :
Shiseio Bronzer J 2 Medium Naturel
Shiseido Perfect Mascara Full Definition BK 901
Lipstick in RD 142, PK 307 and RS 347 (the one I wore)
Additional products used :
Maybeline Fit me Concealer in 15
Shiseido Blush in RD 103
Zoeva  Forever Eye Crayon in Barista

A woman can never wear too much Jewelry and Perfume

This is my little jewelry corner. I mostly have gold that has been handed me down from my mother and grandmother. Some of the pieces I have made into more modern pieces and some I have them in their original vintage state. I remember during my teenage years my friend Silvia's grandmother, a divine woman from the northern part of Italy in Como telling me, women can never wear too much jewelry and perfume! That phrase stuck in my head to this day. To me perfume is as neccesary as air however I don't like to have many bottles laying around(two at the most)...whatever perfume I wear during that period is the one I wear every day. Of to me pictures are just as precious as my family jewels and that is why I always have them framed and placed where I can see them. The pictures above are of my father and his brother in the Alps(norther Italy)I will post my jewelry video and perfume video(from a while back) so that you can watch if you've missed it.

Avène Mineral spf 50+ Lightly Tinted

This is Avéne's Mineral Spf 50+ I bought it here in Italy after I watched DaisyNation's video on it only to discover that the light tint that Daisy said hers had was totally different from mine. Daisy was kind enough to send me a bottle so that I could try it out and see how awsome the product is. She was right! This Spf has a gorgeous delicate tint which melts into the skin and works great as a base/primer. I wear on a daily basis now as I am using retin A once again and I need a very High Spf. Over the Avène Spf I usually apply the Laura Marcier Mineral Powder in Natural Beige. I need to top off this cream with a warmer tone otherwise it comes out looking too fair for my stintone even though I am a very fair NC15. If you are fairer than I am as Daisy is you can simply wear it on its own. It evens out the skin very well. It has a slight sheen to it creating a lovely dewy glow. I would stay away from heavy spf creams if you have very oily skin though. As thin cream is mineral based it tends to leave a slight white cast that soon goes away after about 1 hour.

The swatch on the left is of the Avène Minreal spf bought here in Italy while the spf on the right is of the one Daisy sent me. Obviously there is something wrong with the way Avène markets this product here in Italy. It says that it is slightly tinted however as you can see from this picture it's the whitest of whites ever! So disappointed with Avène even though I love many of their products.
Result of wearing only the Avène spf
Avène spf 50 together with Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in Natural Beige
Addition of blush Catrice in Love and Peach 050
Voilà completed Makeup !

Diego Della Palma Neutral Palette Vs. Urban Decay

I finally caved in and bought an eyeshadow palette! However this is not your usual Urban Decay Naked palette which all of you are all so sick and tired of hearing about( at least I am) no ,this is THE neutral palette from Diego Della Palma. DDP is very famous here in Italy yet I still hadn't bought anything from his makeup line. I had been attracted to his eyeshadows for quite some time now but I never cracked down and bought any until yesterday when I layed my eyes on this little baby!! As soon as I saw it, it was yelling out my name...I normally don't like palettes however this one had all the elements I was looking for in a palette. Neutrals that are not only shimmery/sheeny but also mat .
Here they are. Starting from the left you have the shimmery/sheeny ones all the way to the last three ones on the right that are all mat. The texture is soft and very easy to work with and blends with practically no fall out what so ever. With just one swipe you get a very pigmented swatch except for the thrird and fourth starting from the right. They are just as good however they tend to be be slightly more sheerer than the others. In all I give it a 9. I see myself using these e/s on a daily basis and even vamping up my look for the evening. This palette is the perfect balance of textures and colors. They are all extremely wearable unlike other palettes. I also found and amazing color for filling my eyebrows (second from right)
Here in the below picture you can see an eye look using almost all the colors... I was playing around with the palette. I can't wait to make more tutorials with these gorgeous colors!

FOTD and Some First Impressions !

Here you go ladies and gents, my latest FOTD! This face of the day is special though as I have just received my Rachel K CC Cream!!! Yahoo, I am so very exited.  This is the first time I have applied it so I can't give you a full review on it...  I am sure that in a few days I will not only do a review on the Rachel CC Cream but also on the following products that I will mention in this blog post!

Here it is!!! the Rachel K CC Cream in the Lightest color "Original" I can't give you a full review on it however you can see the end result on my skin in the above picture. What I can tell you is that it does even out your skin tone however it doesn't cover one single spot! I am most sure that this is an amazing primer day cream and sunscrean all in one! I am very curious to try it out for a few days and tell you all about it. I chose the lightest color which is very pinky based and I thought that it would have been too off with my skin color however seeing that it has no coverage it simply gives me a brightening effect which is very flattering!

These are the Other 2 procts that I purchased together with the Rachel CC Cream. Like the CC Cream I still can't give you a full review but I can tell you that I already like the Avène Micellar water. it is very moisturizing and soft a soft and gentle smell. Most importantly it took off my eye make. I will use it for at least a week before giving you a full review. No first impressions  on the Caudalie Mist water yet
Face : Rachel K Original CC Cream,Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in "Natural Beige", Benefit Hoola, Caudalie Bonne Mine Bronzer, Nars Deep Throat blush, Vicky Dermablend setting powder under eyes, Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 010,Mac MSF in Soft and Gentle. Eyes : Mac Paint Pot in Painterly Yves Rocher loose mineral Pigment in Rose Nacré, Mac wedge e/s, CD amber light on (lightest color on brow bone), Sisley Phyto Kohl in Navy. Chanel le Volume Macara. Anne Hathaway's Oscar Lips

I finally got my hands on the fabulous lipstick that Anne Hathaway wore at the 2013 oscars. Chanel's Rouge Allure in Séduisante.Luckaly I found a video of  her actual makeup artist reproducing her Oscar look on Youtube . The MUA said that as Anne was a pastel shade she needed to add some concealer to her lips in order to mute it down. I personally like it on it's own. I think it's the perfect shade now that we are looking forward to spring. Another favorite of mine very similar to this one (but less pink) is Pink in the Afternoon by Revlon
